Michael
Harris, Associate Director. My practice is in Radstock, where I've
been a GP for over 20 years, and I continue to be a GP Trainer. I've
been a Course Organiser in Bath for 15 years. Half my working week is
spent in my practice, the other half in my AD role. I love being a GP -
the medicine and seeing my patients - and I also love teaching. When not
working, I'm either in the kitchen or on my bike. If you have any

Freya Scott
GP educator. I work part time as a GP in Nailsea, where I also teach
medical students and will soon be a trainer. I enjoy teaching and small
group work and have a special interest in acupuncture. Contact

Holly Hardy.
GP educator, at present working with ST3s. I have a long history of
interest in GP education, having been a course organiser in Manchester
and Clinical teacher at the University of N.S.W Australia. I became a GP
trainer in 2005 and supervised Foundation doctors in my practice until
moving to Bristol in 2007. I am a part-time GP in Knowle and share the
care of our 4 children with my husband. |
Jo Hennessy
is a full time educationalist who has worked with the Bristol GP
Education team since January 2003. Prior to that, she was a lecturer at
London University and then a trainer/assessor of lecturers in Further
and Higher Education. Jo works primarily within the CPD remit of the
team, and has responsibility for Newly Qualified GPs, CPD course
development, the Retainer scheme, the Mentoring scheme and the
professional development of Educational supervisors. Areas of special
interest and research include neuroscience and education, 1:1 teaching
and learning, and Brief Intervention Therapy in the consultation. |
Terry Kemple
is a GP at Horfield Health Centre, Bristol with experience on quality improvement and improving the performance of physicians. He is a
trainer, a PCT GP appraiser and has led practice achievements in Charter
Mark Award, NHS Beacon Practice for Clinical Governance, the RCGP
Quality Practice Award, and the RCGP Primary Care Research Training
Accreditation Award. In 1993/94 he was a Harkness Fellow based at
Harvard Medical School and Harvard Community Health Plan. In addition he
leads The Bristol Primary Care Research and Development Consortium. He
is currently work one session a week overseeing the BristolGPsolutions &
GP school website and various projects connected with quality assurance

Graham Rawlinson,
Graham Rawlinson, GP educator, practices at Lodgeside Surgery in
Kingswood for 2 years. I've been a trainer since 1986 and a Course
Organiser from 1991. I am currently a 2-session GP educationalist with
the Bristol GPE team, working as deputy associate director for Michael
Harris. I was an Associate regional Adviser in Assessment from 1992 to
2000 and I am a college Examiner for the MRCGP since 1993. I'm a Fellow
of the RCGP since 1998 and was on the Severn Faculty Board for some
years in the 1990's. I have an interest in training overseas and was
involved in projects in Reforming Primary Care in Kazakhstan and more
recently MRCGP International in Kosovo and south Asia. Contact:

Sheila Pieterson GP educator. I have been a GP in
Knowle West for over 10 years. I enjoyed teaching medical students and
so embarked on the long process to become a trainer via MRCGP (by
assessment of performance) and TLHP. I became enthused by teaching and
learning and now find myself part of the ST3 team. |
Tom Pelly GP
educator with S1/2s. I work as a GP in St George in Bistol. My passion
for education started when I was a full time teacher of medical students
when I worked at Frenchay and Southmead. |
Nigel Lakin I am a full time GP in Weston Super Mare
and I have been a GP trainer since 2006. I have been one of the main
organisers for Planet an organisation that provides CPD for North
Somerset GPs since its inception in 2002. More recentyl I have been
asked by the GP school to try to recruit more GP educators in Weston
Super Mare. |
Rachel
Westwick GP educator with responsibilities for ST1/2s. I 'm also a a
part time GP in Clevedon. I have a speclal interest in Womens Health. I
love teaching and have been fortunate to have had experience in teaching
both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. |
Louise Remedios I was recently appointed as a GP
educator 'Fellow' for 1 year in Bristol. I'm an associate GP in
Droitwich, orcestershire and am taking on the teaching of first year
medical students. I'd like to become a P tariner in the future. |
Simon Clausen is a ST3 GP who is also a GP educator
scholar' and has an extra one month added to his GP registrar year to
allow him to get experience as a GP educator. |
