GP TrainersMichael Harris is Associate Director of GP education for Bristol: 'The AD's page' The GP school of the Severn Deanery was established in April 2007 and the new local GP education team is established. Unless the 2007 Tooke report changes everything again, the Modernising Medical Careers programme means that most training practices now take Junior doctors for four months in their second Foundation year (F2) and vocational training for general practice is a 3 year basic specialist training programme (ST1, 2 & 3). The new MRCGP examination (nMRCGP) has replaced the old summative and MRCGP examinations. In these early years of the changes there is a lot of learning and adaptation for everyone with very few experts. Check the deanery website for more up-to-date information about what is
happening. Trainers Newsletter
