Doctors who have well founded personal reasons for wanting to work in a lesser capacity in general practice for a set period of time may wish to apply to join the doctors’ retainer scheme (http://www.gprecruitment.org.uk/vacancies/returningtable.htm). Application is made through the Deanery (http://www.swndeanery.nhs.uk/Swgped/) and further information and application forms can be obtained from the download area of that site.
