Bristol NQGP & PCPD education program 2009

Four ½ day sessions in 2009 to complement the CPD scheme run by the Bristol GP Education team. These days are to provide educational sessions on topics that are most of interest to newly qualified GPs that may not be addressed during CPD. They are also intended to allow time for an informal forum for discussion of relevant news and issues.

Provisional dates for the sessions are:

  • Tuesday March 17th 2009
  • Thursday June 11th 2009
  • Wednesday September 16th 2009
  • Thursday November 19th 2009

Topics that may be covered are:

  • Organising and Preparing Appraisals
  • Making the most of Educational Experiences
  • Negotiation, Assertiveness and Empowerment – ‘Building confidence in the workplace’
  • Medico legal advice
  • Financial Advice
  • Career Goals and Planning
  • Support Structures
