Practice Profile: We are on the edge of Bristol towards Bath. The position is ideal for travelling in from Keynsham, Bath or cycling in from central Bristol, which is the preferred mode of transport for some of the doctors. At the back of the surgery are woods and hence the name. Woodpeckers are often seen on the grass outside. The practice is developing and changing quickly but we aim to maintain its friendly and family based medicine. Over the past five years we have computerised, merged with another practice, taken on a triage nurse, a retainer, university associate and now have approval for registrars. Great changes that we are all excited about.
